Anyone can donate their ceramics to the global fundraiser!

Yes, that means you!

Established and emerging potters, ceramic & interdisciplinary artists from all parts of the world.

What type of work can I donate to the raffle? Expand

You can submit all types of work to the global fundraising raffle.

We invite the submission of work in clay and other media that responds to the exhibition theme. As this is a clay-loving community we encourage ceramics focussed or inspired work.

Is there a minimum donation value? Expand

You can donate anything to be in the raffle, but please try to donate works that are above the value of $25 USD.

If I donate my work to the Raffle, will I be chosen for the Exhibition? Expand

Donating your work to the Global Fundraising Raffle does not automatically mean you will be selected for the online exhibition.

But, if you do donate your work to the raffle, there is a chance you will be selected!

Do I have to donate my work in order to be selected for the Curated Exhibition? Expand

Yes.

You have to submit your work to the Global Fundraising Raffle to be eligible to be selected for the Exhibition.

If you are not selected for the Exhibition, your work will remain in the raffle.

What criteria are used to decide on submissions for the Curated Exhibition? Expand

All work donated to the raffle is eligible to be selected for the Ceramics for Charity Exhibition.

Dr. Wendy Gers & the panel of jurors will review all submissions, and select work according to the following criteria:

✔ Originality

✔ Quality

✔ Relevance to the theme

When is the deadline for the Raffle & Curated Exhibition? Expand

Midday on 25th July 2020 is the Submission deadline

How many works can I submit? Expand

Artists are invited to submit 1 completed piece of pottery, an artwork or installation that responds to the theme, Black Lives Matter, Human Rights & Dignity for All.

The work must be undertaken between 2016 and present.

What happens after work has been submitted for the Raffle? Expand

All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of jurors headed by Dr. Wendy Gers.

If you are selected to be in the exhibition, then we will contact you for information to put inside the brochure 🙂

If you are not selected to be in the exhibition, then we will let you know when your piece has been won and will send you the contact details of the winner.

How many works will be selected for the Curated Exhibition? Expand

A maximum of works 50 will be selected from the raffle entries.

How many works will be selected for the Raffle? Expand

All works will be accepted into the raffle.

When will the list of selected artists for the Curated Exhibition be announced? Expand

The list of selected artists will be announced on 30th July 2020.

When will I be informed if my work was sold? Expand

You will be informed by 6 August.
